To reserve a cabin or tent site at Allegany State Park, you can call the Quaker area for information requests and any questions (716-354-2182), but you can also make reservations online using the New York State Reserve America website:

Here are a few suggested cabins/campsites that are within about a 5 minute walk of the reception (see map at top for relative locations):

Angle cabin trail loop: 11 heated, electrified cabins each for $78.75 per night. Details from website- Number of Rooms: 1; Gas Heating: Y; Fridge with Freezer: Y; Lighting: Electric; Porch: Open; Stove/Oven: Y; Condition Rating: Prime; Location Rating: Prime. This cabin has a refrigerator, cooking range, table with benches, wood stove and 4 beds. There are folding cots available for rent at the park office.

Gypsy cabin trail loop: Cabin #s 1, 2, 3, 8, 10 and 11 are 1-room, gas-heated, electrified cabins with a fridge, stove and porch for $78.75 per night (4 beds). Cabin #s 6, 12, 13, 16 and 19 are non-electrified, non-heated, 2-room cabins with a wood fireplace and porch for $41.25 per night (4 beds). The remaining Gypsy cabins are non-electrified, 1-room cabins with a wood fireplace and porch for $35.00 per night (4 beds).

Diehl cabin/tent loop: 11 heated, electrified cabins for $78.75 per night. Indian trail loop cabin #5: 2-room, electrified, unheated (but has wood fireplace) cabin with 4 beds (but can sleep up to 6), with fridge, stove and porch for $72.50 per night.

Buffalo cabin trail loop cabin #13: 2-room, electrified, unheated (but has wood fireplace) cabin with 4 beds (but can sleep up to 6), with fridge, stove and porch for $72.50 per night.

Kaiser cabin trail loop cabin # 12: This electrified cabin has 2 separate bedrooms in addition to a living area with fridge and stove. #12 also includes a porch, gas heat and fireplace. Includes 4 beds but can sleep up to 6 people for $103.75 per night.

Diehl tent sites: Located right near the Diehl cabins, these tent sites are $19 per night.

Date and location

After much suspense, we secured Saturday, September 26, 2009 for our wedding at Allegany State Park, New York. The ceremony will be on a wooded peninsula on Red House Lake (see left) and the reception will be at the Quaker picnic area. The ceremony will be officiated by pastor Robert Hoey.
